AM Castwell

One of the illustrations I've done for my three nephews. Miles happens to be my favorite Spider-man also, thus, this piece was a lot of fun to do. Especially dusting off some of my old digital art tendencies of using gradients! It's been a shamefully long time since I have arted exactly like this, and I'm starting to find using Krita a lot more natural than Photoshop. Which I will probably have more limited and specific use for.

I've Fully Chosen to simply use this Blogger blog as my official website and gallery! Now everyone that has something to say about growing and establishing one's "brand" always pitches having a website. Why? A blog IS a website and Blogger is free.  Sure, It's not "mine" but it's been well established for decades and folk far more well known than me use it. I have my many domains. Paying for websites has ultimately never done anything for me beyond waste my money. I don't care for all the fiddly managing bs of trying to get it to look "just right". or if it's wordpress all the ridiculous plug-ins.  No, sir, I don't like it.  So here I am Just going to use a blog to be my web presence to showcase my art, promote my channels and shops and beyond.

11x14 Painting available in my Etsy Shop--Castwell's Art and Craft When it comes to painting I have decided to stop trying to think about what I'm doing. Entirely. I am just going to go with whatever weird idea that comes to mind and run with it. No more planning my creative expression, no more fretting over how skilled or technical I am being. I do that with illustration.  My efforts in painting shall be however weird or random they choose to be. And likely will be incorporating any of my geeky inspirations.

It's a humble start on my way to success. The Mystic Channel is my first channel that I feel really good about. It may not be one showcasing my art but I do get to be creative in the very literal hands on sense of crafting my life and channels.  The Mystic Channel I get to finally start sharing and indulging my passion for the mysterious and occult. And playing around with AI I happened to stumble upon a style for the the images I use I really like that is definitely different that what is usually seen.

It certainly is a crazy and wonderful thing when your creative projects begin sell! Naturally, I might ad.  Castwell's Fantasy Cartoon Coloring Book is readily available for purchase on Amazon. Grab yours today! https://castwellsartandcraft.etsy.com
